18th annual PGA Awards

The 18th annual awards ceremony of the Producers Guild of America was held last Saturday, January 20, at the Century Plaza Hotel.

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE beat out “Babel,” “The Departed,” “Dreamgirls” and “The Queen” for the Darryl F. Zanuck producer of the year award. The winning producers were Marc Turtletaub, David T. Friendly, Peter Saraf, Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa.


In the Animated Theatrical Motion Picture category, Darla K. Anderson won for producing CARS.


David L. Wolper Producer of the Year Award in Long-Form Television went to Suzan Harrison, George Faber, Charles Pattinson and Barney Reisz for ELIZABETH I.


The Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television (Drama) went to Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Mark Gordon, James Parriott, Peter Horton and Rob Corn for GREY’S ANATOMY.


The Danny Thomas Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television (Comedy) went to Greg Daniels and Kent Zbornak for THE OFFICE.


The Producers Guild of America Producer of the Year Award in Non-Fiction Television went to Jeff Fager for 60 MINUTES.


The Johnny Carson Producers of the Year Award in Variety Television went to Bill Maher, Scott Carter, Sheila Griffiths and Dean Johnsen for Real Time with Bill Maher.
