first female Beefeater at the Tower of London

Since 1485, the Yeoman Warders have all been men. But a woman, still unnamed, will be joining the 35 other, male beefeaters. All of them are soliders, as is required

So the Crown Jewels are at the Tower of London. (St. Edward's Crown was what Liz II wore during her coronation in 1953.)

Anne Boleyn was held there before her execution on Tower Green in 1536. Liz I was also temporarily confined to the tower before ascending to the throne in 1558.
