Sidney Sheldon is gone

Oh my god. Sidney Sheldon's dead! Now I feel really old. The Other Side of Midnight was one of my tamer primers growing up. I can't for the life of me remember the plot, but I sure remember the scenes (e.g., coat-hanger abortion) and a few choice sentences.

Aged 89, he died of pneumonia in Rancho Mirage.

Born Sidney Schechtel in Chicago.
