Sundance Film Festival, January 18-28

Started in 1978, the Sundance Film Festival is now the largest independent cinema festival in the U.S.

Sundance is the name of a ski resort between Park City and Provo in Utah. It's owned by Robert Redford who says he named it after the way the sun danced over nearby Mount Timpanogos.
